Our training courses are based around small class sizes, allowing students to learn in a friendly and intimate environment:
* An Introduction to Digital Photography one day course:
A tutorial aimed at those wanting to grasp a basic understanding of digital photography. Our introductory course has been carefully designed to guide the novice through those early important steps, ensuring the basic elements are understood, thus allowing the student to develop at their own pace.
Aspects covered include:
Understanding image files and the workings of a digital camera, getting to grips with the different camera settings what they mean and how to use them creatively, understanding ISO, depth of field and shutter speeds, how to compose your photographs, how to use flash correctly, different methods of camera support.
All one day photography tutorials are conducted in a classroom environment and include morning and afternoon coffee and a buffet lunch. 9.30am-4.30pm (approx) £95 inc. Bring a friend and receive a 10% discount.

* One-to-One elementary Photoshop skills:
Photoshop tutorials, arranged by the hour and developed around the needs of the individual. Available in the student's home or work place. Aspects covered include: File organisation, exploring the difference between Jpeg, Psd and RAW files, processing and preparation of RAW files for Photoshop, understanding and use of the histogram, non destructive processing, working with image layers, filters, use of the basic Photoshop tools and skin retouching.
Hourly rate: 1st hour £80 then £50 per hour (dependent upon location)
* Intermediate to advanced creative Lighting:
One day photography course exploring the creative elements of video lighting for all HD DSLR owners. Drawing on Howard's experience as a TV lighting cameraman and his use
of natural and artificial light in his photography business, this tutorial explores the many ways of using different light sources creatively.
Daily fee: £225incl
* One to One location Photography training in Somerset:
Bespoke photography tutorials, developed around the needs of the individual. A hands-on, practical approach to photographing all types of subjects in the outdoors.
In this tutorial we explore composition, lighting and the creative use of the camera's controls to produce more interesting and exciting photographs. All photography training takes place locally in the Somerset area.
