About Howard

Hello, thank you for visiting my training website. Photography is something that I have been passionate about since I was about twelve years old. After leaving college, my first full time job was working for Lancashire Constabulary, in the scenes of crime department as a studio photographer and lab technician. In 1975, I began work as a young assistant photographing portraits and weddings with a studio in Reading. I then joined the television industry, embarking on a career as a location cameraman with ITV West in Bristol and eventually as a lighting cameraman. However, after eighteen years I began experiencing the mid life crisis and decided I needed a change and so left to pursue a freelance career producing corporate videos. This decision did little for my creative aspirations and so, in 2003 I decided to return to my first love of photography.

With more than thirty years experience behind a camera lens, I was determined to offer only the finest service to my clients. I am passionate about my work, constantly strive to offer a service that surpasses my clients' expectations and above all, I absolutely love what I do!

In the past I have presented lectures on film and television to several university groups, whetting my appetite for tutoring. In September 2009 I decided to produce a number of tutorials, not only aimed at the novice but also for the more experienced photographer who is looking to take their lighting skills to another level.
